Canyon Road Christmas Eve Walk
Canyon Road is one if the most historic and well visited streets in Santa Fe. The street is lined with art galleries, studios, restaurants and shops housed in fascinating abode homes and compounds.
During holiday season, the street becomes a blaze with thousands of farolitos, traditional luminaries (lights made of a single small candle inside a paper bag). These candle lights outline each home and business and create a warm glow throughout this neighborhood.
On Christmas Eve, thousands of festive strollers walk Canyon Road to enjoy the glow of the farolitos and bonfires, sing Christmas carols, and sip hot apple cider. Canyon Road becomes a festival experience not to be missed.
Canyon Road restaurants are open on Christmas Eve and must be accessed by foot, as the street is closed to vehicular traffic. Reservations are recommended in advance.
